How to bulk resize photos

Three steps.

1

Drag the whole folder in

Mixed sizes and orientations are fine; each file is handled on its own terms.

2

Set the resize

In Settings: a percentage (half size, 80%, anything), a preset, or exact dimensions. Keep proportions is the default, so nothing stretches.

3

Hit Squish

Resized copies appear under new names. The originals keep their full resolution.

Resize and shrink at the same time

Making a photo smaller is the one size reduction that costs nothing visible: throw away pixels you weren’t going to display and the file shrinks with no quality argument at all. A 4000px camera shot headed for a 1200px-wide website loses nothing that matters.

In this app, resizing rides along with the same engine that squishes: your resized copies come out both dimensionally right and properly compressed, one pass, every file reported.

Good to know

  • Percent, presets, or exact width and height; proportions kept by default.
  • Originals untouched; results are new files.
  • Works on every input format, RAW included.

Questions, answered

Will my photos get squished too, or only resized?

Both, in the same pass; the quality slider governs the compression side. If you want pure resizing with no re-compression at all, set the slider to Original for the loss-free path.

Is it really free?

Yes. It costs nothing, needs no account, and whole batches run one after another. Every input format and the full quality engine are included. If you point it at a really big collection you’ll eventually meet the free limit; Pro ($9 once) removes it and adds a watch folder, or you can simply come back tomorrow.

Does it overwrite my originals?

Never. Finished files are written under new names, so the originals and the results live side by side.

One folder, one size.
