A PSD is a project, not a picture
PSD is Photoshop’s working format: layers, masks, adjustments, history. Without Photoshop (or a monthly subscription to it), opening one is surprisingly hard, even though what you usually want is just the finished image.
Image Squisher reads the finished picture inside the PSD, the flattened image you’d get if you hit Save As in Photoshop, and exports it as a JPG. Your layers and edits stay safe in the untouched original.

Are my layers exported separately?
No. A PSD can hold dozens of layers and a JPG holds exactly one picture. You get the flattened image, which is what the file looks like printed or posted.
Will it open my layered PSD safely?
Yes. Reading never modifies the original; the export is a new file.
Does it upload my photos anywhere?
No. Everything happens on your computer. There is no account, no cloud, no watermark, and it works fine offline.
Does it overwrite my originals?
Never. Finished files are written under new names, so the originals and the results live side by side.
