Convert PNG to JPG
Image Squisher converts PNG to JPG on your own computer. Photos come out dramatically smaller, and since JPG has no transparency, any see-through areas get a background color you choose. Works in batches, nothing uploaded.

How to convert PNG to JPG
Three steps.
Drop your PNGs in
One file or a whole folder of screenshots or exports.
JPG is already the default
Still photos come out as JPG on the standard setting. If any image has see-through areas, set the background color in the settings first.
Hit Squish
Smaller JPGs appear next to the originals under new names.
The one honest catch: transparency
JPG is a wonderful format for photographs and a terrible one for see-through pictures, because it has none: every JPG is a full rectangle. So when a transparent PNG becomes a JPG, the see-through areas have to become something, and you get to pick the color (white is the usual choice).
For photos the trade is all upside: a 15 MB PNG of a camera shot routinely becomes a JPG that looks the same at a tenth of the size. For logos and graphics that need transparency, keep PNG or go WebP.
Good to know
- Background color for see-through areas is your choice.
- The quality slider decides how close the JPG stays to the original.
- Everything runs locally.
Questions, answered
My PNG has a transparent background. What happens to it?
It’s filled with the background color you pick in the settings, white by default. If you need to keep transparency, convert to WebP or stay with PNG.
Is it really free?
Yes. It costs nothing, needs no account, and whole batches run one after another. Every input format and the full quality engine are included. If you point it at a really big collection you’ll eventually meet the free limit; Pro ($9 once) removes it and adds a watch folder, or you can simply come back tomorrow.
Does it upload my photos anywhere?
No. Everything happens on your computer. There is no account, no cloud, no watermark, and it works fine offline.
